Where Can You Buy Webkinz?
If you have looked all over town for Webkinz and haven't been able to find them, here are a few tips to help you get the Webkinz you want (and hopefully at a good price).

If you are looking for Retired Webkinz I will give you some tips for that, too.
Buying New Webkinz from Retail Stores
You can still find Webkinz at some retail stores, on-line at places like Amazon.com, other on-line retailers or on ebay.
If you can find Webkinz from a retail store that got them directly from GANZ, you will probably get a good price and you will know that they are in good condition.
Some retail stores buy pre-owned Webkinz (with unused tags), though, so if that is important to you be sure to ask about it. They may charge more for those Webkinz as they may have paid more to get them than if they had bought them directly from GANZ., but don't go by price--just ask if you want to know.
On the official Webkinz site (www.webkinz.com) you can find a store locater. Call stores that you can drive to or get a ride to first to see if they have any Webkinz in stock. If they don't have any, be sure to ask if you can give them your name to call you when their shipment arrives.
If you don't, they may get a shipment in and then sell them all before you call again and you may work a lot harder and wait a lot longer than you need to in order to find your Webkinz.
I have had several stores call me when they got their Webkinz in stock before they sold out. (Just today I got two Lil'Kinz lions from a store calling me).
Get Them Mailed to You
If none of the stores in your area has any Webkinz in stock, you can call some other areas and ask if they will mail to you
if you pay for the shipping.
Many stores will do this, but the amount they charge for shipping will vary, so ask how much they charge and then you can decide if you are willing to pay that. One store shipped to me for about $6, but another store wanted $13.50 and I didn't end up getting those.
Even if the out-of-your-area store doesn't have any Webkinz, ask them to take your name to call you when their shipment arrives, too.
You can find lots of Webkinz on-line, but you may pay more for them than if you were able to find them in a retail store, and they may have been pre-owned even if the tags are unused.
You will find lots of Webkinz at www.amazon.com, and even though Amazon doesn't sell them directly (They are sold by other people through Amazon's site using the Amazon Marketplace), Amazon will guarantee your purchase so you have some protection when you buy that way.
You can also find lots of Webkinz on www.ebay.com. Their are auctions you can bid on, and there are some available to "Buy Now' for a set price. If you buy from someone on ebay, you should check out their feedback comments and score to see if they have good feedback from selling to other people first.
If the person selling is a "Power Seller" they sell a lot (I think it is something like $1,000 per month) on ebay, so they probably will want to keep their customers happy.
If you are going to bid on a Webkinz, you should find out what that Webkinz is worth so you don't bid way more than you could pay for it as sometimes people get into the bidding. Check out my page on What Are My Webkinz Worth? here.
There are some other retailers who sell on-line like http://www.toywiz.com/ and www.playfulplushtoys.com.
Buying Retired Webkinz
While you may want to try to get your new Webkinz from a retail store, most retail stores don't carry the retired Webkinz.
There are a few that I know of, though.
Kitson Kids on Robertson in LA carries some of the retired and seasonal Webkinz. (I got my Sherbert Bunny from them). AAHS in West Los Angeles carries some, too, I think. They may have gotten them from dealers or collectors rather than directly from GANZ, but the tags are unused. You can ask about that if it matters to you.
You can also find the retired Webkinz on Amazon.com, Ebay, www.toywiz.com and some other on-line stores.
